Anchor Effect - Chapter 4.1: He is not qualified
Every year, the day when freshmen enrolled was the busiest time for the Zhugang Film Academy. If that year happened to coincide with the enrollment of young actors who had already debuted, the excitement was even greater.
Yu Min had specially asked for leave from the film crew and wanted Yu Xiu to show up in front of the media on the day of the start of school, but Yu Xiu refused to cooperate and insisted on staying in the film crew for a few more days. He did not report to the school until the film was finished.
The white nanny car stopped at the back door of the deserted school. Yu Xiu put on a black mask and was about to open the door to get out of the car but was stopped by Yu Min: "Have you remembered everything I taught you?"
"Build a good relationship with the seniors in the industry." The boy's voice had gone through a period of change, half clear and half deep.
"What else?" Yu Min didn't hear the key explanation, put down the newly received script, and the two willow leaf eyebrows faintly showed signs of wrinkling.
Yu Xiu didn't answer the conversation any more, just lowered his head halfway, his eyes fell on the doorknob.
"And don't get too close to your classmates!" Seeing Yu Xiu's appearance, Yu Min raised her voice annoyed, "You are famous now, do you know that you will attract people's envy? Those classmates of yours, can you really think that none of them are famous? If someone is jealous of you and arranges your black material, it will be very troublesome, don’t blame me for not reminding you!"
Yu Xiu pursed his lips, wanting to refute that he was not very famous, but he had never been able to speak well to Yu Min, so he said in a low voice, "...I majored in directing."
—Not everyone will be as famous as actor.
"That's why others will think you are more ambitious!" Yu Min would get angry every time he mentioned this, "You didn't become a good actor, but you wanted to change careers to be a director. Who do you think you are?"
Yu Xiu had always felt that Yu Min was very contradictory. On the one hand, she felt that he was already very famous, and none of his peers under the age of twenty could beat him;
"That's enough, that's enough, Yu Xiu is getting late, don't keep nagging him." Dong You, who was sitting in front, turned around and persuaded, "Go to the school, the counselor is still waiting."
Yu Min lit a cigarette, exhaled a puff of white mist, and calmed down: "I repeat, you are here to upgrade yourself, not to experience campus life. Pay attention to your own words and deeds."
From the moment he entered the school gate, someone recognized Yu Xiu.
In all fairness, Yu Xiu wasn't really a big star. He had only filmed a few TV dramas and endorsed a few products, so he had a little national recognition.
But every time he appeared in the public eye, he attracted attention frequently because the thing he could show most was nothing but his face.
He was 1.85 meters tall when he was less than 20 years old, and his head-to-body ratio was perfect. His thick complexion with a mixed-race look and a clean youthful aura burst out with a conflicting sense of collision, which made people want to blaspheme and want to guard.
Therefore, even if a passer-by met Yu Xiu, it was difficult to take his eyes off him.
"It's Yu Xiu! The real person is so handsome!"
"How tall is he?"
"Yu Xiu! Look this way!"
Several girls surrounded the boulevard, which caused quite a commotion. Some passers-by who didn't know why followed to join in the fun, and the boulevard was blocked for a while.
"Excuse me, everyone. There is nothing to watch. Please don't take sneak shots." Dong You opened the way for Yu Xiu in front, and Yu Xiu just walked forward silently with his head down.
He had long been used to this kind of battle, so no matter how many people around him called his name, he still turned a deaf ear to it and concentrated on thinking that he still had a few days off before the next audition.
On the basketball court not far away, many people stretched their necks and looked towards the boulevard, wanting to find out.
Ye Yuchen shot a beautiful three-pointer and asked Du Rui beside him, "What's going on?"
"I don't know." Du Rui took the basketball, slapped it casually, and looked in the direction of the boulevard, "Is there a star?"
"There seems to be someone wearing a mask in the middle." Gong Hao also looked over there, "It looks familiar, do you know him?"
Ye Yuchen also felt a little familiar, but couldn't remember where he saw it. The man was wearing a mask, so he could only see his eyebrows, but even so, he could tell he looked good.
"Ah." Du Rui stood still with the basketball in his arms, with a suddenly realized expression, "Is it Yu Xiu? He came to our school? He hasn't reported yet."
"Yu Xiu?" Gong Hao was still searching for related entries in his mind, "The kid who played 'Father Don't Leave Me'? When did he grow up so old?"
"That's a movie from a few years ago." Du Rui simply took out his phone and looked it up, but his attention was quickly attracted by another thing, "Damn, he's 1.85 meters tall, it’s not a fake marketing?”
Ye Yuchen subconsciously looked towards the boulevard. The black masks in the crowd were indeed conspicuous, almost a head taller than most of the people. He lowered his eyes indifferently, and it was obvious that there was a lot of noise around him, but he seemed to be out of it, and everything had nothing to do with him.
"Aye, you are only 1.82 meters, right?" Du Rui looked at Ye Yuchen, the tallest of the three.
"It's 1.82.4 meters." Ye Yuchen retracted his gaze and corrected.
Of course, 0.4 centimeters cannot be ignored, rounding it loosely would be 1.83 meters.
